Golf Hideaway Golf Lounge was one of the first indoor golf centers to open in Hong Kong so we were excited to go and visit after it’s recent re-launch under new ownership. When you first mention “Quarry Bay” to most expats living on HK Island, they initially perceive that as being a bit out the way. However, I can tell you, Golf Hideaway Golf Lounge is extremely easy to get to and if there’s no travel, a 10 minute drive or taxi ride from central or about 15 minutes on the MTR. There’s 4 different car parks within a few hundred metres so its actually quite convenient and very easy to find.

The center itself hasn’t changed much, there are two Full Swing Golf simulators which are now being used by Tiger Woods, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth, Padraig Harrington to mention a few, so the accuracy of these can not be questioned. A bunch of other “big names” from in and out of the golf industry are using Full Swing Golf simulators including World Golf Hall of Fame, Golf Digest, IBM, Honda and loads more. The simulator area is where golf lessons and general play on the sims takes place, there’s some really comfortable couches at each sim and it’s not too dark as many indoor golf centers are.

In another area of Golf Hideaway Golf Lounge there’s a full lounge and bar. This is ideal for parties, corporate events, team building, meetings, pretty much whatever you can think of, this space can be transformed and with a pool table it’s perfect for parties and those non-golfers. I can imagine many companies just using this space for events and forgetting about the golf, although of course the golf is the attraction to many people and companies. Golf Hideaway Golf Lounge has a number of event packages and and options for a variety of different purposes and budgets so whatever you’re looking for in terms of an event/party, they’ll be able to handle it.

Golf lessons at Golf Hideaway Golf Lounge have already become popular. HKPGA Certified Instructor and Hank Haney Associate Pro Derek Crampton leads the lesson programs and from what we hear, is a bit of a Butch Harmon and very widely respected. His ladies golf programs are booked out months in advance and we secretly talked to quite a number of his students and they all raved about how he had improved their games. The Hong Kong Golf School has also recently moved their HQ to Golf Hideaway so it’s now become quite the teaching Hub of Hong Kong.

Prices start at $300 for one person for one hour on the sim which is very reasonable and they’ve got a membership program which gives you 50% off regular rates. Membership is $750 per month with a free month offered if you sign up for one year, which we did.

Overall Golf Hideaway Golf Lounge is our favourite and top rated indoor golf centre in Hong Kong. The facilities are superb, the simulators excellent, and the service is far (FAR) superior to any other indoor golf centre in Hong Kong. We can highly recommend Golf Hideaway to hold your event, just for a hit of golf with your mates or for a golf lesson. Finally, someone in Hong Kong has got the formula right and the service mentality to back it up. Visit Golf Hideaway Here.
