About the Fujikura Precursor Shiro Golf Shaft
Today I thought I’d write about something – the Fujikura Precursor Shiro golf shaft. This shaft has been selling like hotcakes in Hong Kong and at Tour Spin Golf, who are one of the lucky few to be able to sell this shaft. The Fujikura Precursor Shiro is a Prototype shaft that has won on tour and has two versions: The Fujikura Precursor Shiro, and the Fujikura Precursor Kuro. We’re looking at the Fujikura Precursor Shiro, which is a bright yellow colour and popular among golfers wanting to make a statement when standing on the first tee.
The Fujikura Precursor Shiro first made an appearance on the PGA Tour way back in 2013 at the John Deere Classic and is made from some of the materials found in the most iconic shaft in the history of the golf – the Fujikura Speeder. In designing both versions of the Fujikura Precursor, Fujikura looked at different swing styles and how they loaded the shaft at tour speeds, which, according to Pat McCoy from Fujikura, is between 108-120 mph. So who is the Fujikura Precursor Shiro for? The shaft is tip-stiff with low launch and low spin, ideal for players looking to lower their spin rates and trajectory. If you’re looking for another shaft to compare to, we’d say that the Fujikura Motore Speeder Tour-Spec comes close, but with a slightly higher kick profile.
The Fujikura Precursor Shiro now comes in 45, 55, 65 and 75, R, R2, S, X, TX which covers a wide range of golfer swing types and speeds. It’s being used by Thai Tour Player Thongchai Jaidee and a few other players have started to put it in their bags. If you want to buy the Fujikura Precursor Shiro, there’s not many people selling them online, but Tour Spin Golf have stock and they’re doing flat rate shipping world-wide which ends up to be a pretty good bargain. They can also install an adapter and grip on the shaft, so when you receive it, the Fujikura Precursor Shiro will be ready to stick in your driver and you can go out and play immediately.
