Descente Partners With Hong Kong Golf Association

Hong Kong Descente Trading Limited is the latest company to support amateur golf in Hong Kong by signing up as an Official Golf Apparel Partner of the Hong Kong Golf Association (HKGA).

Hong Kong Descente Trading Limited distributes Descente, Munsingwear, le coq sportif GOLF COLLECTION and Calvin Klein golf in Hong Kong – all golf apparel brands which will be made available to HKGA squad members and subscribers as part of the multi-year agreement.

“We believe in the vision of the HKGA so we are only too pleased to show our support as an Official Partner,” said Kenneth Lee, President of Hong Kong Descente Trading Limited, a subsidiary of Descente Limited, one of the leading sportswear companies in Japan.

Ning Li, President of the HKGA added:  “We welcome Hong Kong Descente Trading Limited as an Official Partner of the HKGA and we appreciate the support.  With recent partnerships also signed with Mercedes-Benz, TaylorMade and Bushnell, HKGA squad members can expect a greater level of opportunity and HKGA subscribers can look forward to a wider range of benefits.”

As part of the deal between the HKGA and Hong Kong Descente Trading Limited, Hong Kong teams, coaches and volunteers will be supplied with golf apparel from the le coq sportif GOLF COLLECTION and Munsingwear, whilst HKGA cardholders will receive a special 10% discount off a wide range of regular priced golf apparel items.

The HKGA is supported by a number of brands and businesses.  Mercedes-Benz is the Exclusive Car Partner of the HKGA; EFG Bank sponsors the HKGA Junior Development Programme; and TaylorMade and Bushnell are Official Suppliers.  Hong Kong Descente Trading Limited joins as an Official Partner with immediate effect.

The HKGA was formed in 1968 with a mission to govern, promote and grow golf in Hong Kong.  Responsibilities include Hong Kong national teams; junior and elite player development; grassroots initiatives; a centralised handicapping service for 15,000+ subscribers; and the running of international and domestic golfing events in Hong Kong – including more than 30 amateur tournaments each year plus the Hong Kong Open, the city’s oldest professional sporting event.

As a National Sports Association (NSA), the HKGA works closely with the golf clubs of Hong Kong (Hong Kong Golf Club, Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, Discovery Bay Golf Club and Shek O Country Club); the public golf courses at Kau Sai Chau and Nine Eagles; Hong Kong’s public driving ranges; and governing bodies including the Home Affairs Bureau, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and the Hong Kong Sports Institute.
